CPR/ Defibrillator Training
CPR AED course covers a range of topics to do with cardiac and respiratory emergencies. It will also teach you how to use an AED, when it should be used and who should use it. This course focuses heavily on practical skills and student participation.

This video-based, instructor-led course that teaches adult CPR and AED use, as well as how to relieve choking on an adult. By the end of the course the students will have completed numerous cycles of CPR while using a defibrillator, this is all designed to make the student more comfortable and confident, if ever asked to carry out the skills for real.
CPR stands for Cardio Pulmonary Resuscitation.
Course teaches you the basic techniques of cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR), how to use an Automated External Defibrillator (AED) and the relief of choking for adults, children and infants.
By the end of the course the students will have completed numerous cycles of CPR while using a defibrillator, this is all designed to make the student more comfortable and confident, if ever asked to carry out the skills for real.

Special Instructions for This Course:
Students should be physically fit enough to carry out chest compression on a manikin while kneeling. It is a requirement that students demonstrate effective compressions and ventilations during the class.
Fully compliant Training Certificate valid 2 years (subject to passing course assessment) and receipt issued after training course.
All our courses are delivered by a NFQ Level 6 qualified
instructors.
Objectives

- To assist with someone who is choking.
Who's it for
The course is for people who want to learn CPR and AED use but who are not expected to use it regularly. This could include non-healthcare personnel, sports coaches, teachers and parents as a very small example. This course is also suitable for non-acute healthcare staff such as healthcare assistants, medical secretaries and dental nurses.
