Power Tools are hazardous pieces of equipment if used incorrectly, and are a cause of many accidents in the workplace. This course is designed to provide participants with the skills and knowledge necessary to inspect and operate Power Tools in a safe manner.

Certification: 

Delegates will be required to take part in a practical assessment which, after successful completion will entitle you to an approved supplier certificate proving competence in the Safe Use of Power Tools. Certificate is valid for 2 years.

Assessment: Written test and practical assessment of all tasks undertaken.

Business Consultancy

This course is designed to provide participants with the skills and knowledge necessary to inspect and operate Power Tools in a safe manner.

The aim of this course is to train delegates in the skills and knowledge to achieve the standards of competency to enable them to inspect and safely use portable power tools. Anyone who operates hand power tools such as grinders and saws would be recommended to go on this course.

  • Operators, Managers, Supervisors, Safety Professionals and Trades People.

  • Storage, transport and maintenance of power tools
  • Tool specific information (Each course will cover 3 different types of power tool)

Practical Skills

  • Selection, inspection and use of selected power tools
  • Changing of consumable items

Fully compliant Safe Use of Power Tools Certificate (subject to passing course assessment) and receipt issued after training course.
