Food Safety & HACCP training aligned to the Food Safety Authority of Ireland Level 2 Guidelines is the mandatory training standard for all food handlers within 6 months of starting employment in Ireland. This training meets the training requirements of (EC) 852/2004 on the hygiene of foodstuffs.
On completion of this course, participants will be able to:
- Demonstrate the food safety skills gained at Level 1
- Outline the requirements necessary for Bacterial Growth.
- Understand how to use time/temperature controls to prevent and control Bacterial Growth
- Describe food borne illnesses and the factors that contribute to same
- Where applicable be able to ensure food safety during storage and preparation of food
- Understand how to apply correct and appropriate cleaning procedures
- Understand how to take reasonable measures to prevent cross contamination by food allergens
- Understand how to deal with recalled products
- Deal with a Food Safety Complaint effectively
- Cooperate with Food Safety Auditors
- Understand how to take samples for laboratory analysis
No previous experience is required. This course covers all aspects of level 1 and level 2 food safety training requirements.
